Sky Energy Capital is comprised of a team of individuals and advisors with extensive experience in business startup, management and finance, specific to the energy sector.   


David Punch
Mr. Punch founded Sky Energy Capital in 2010 after gaining valuable knowledge of the renewable energy development process while at Nevada Geothermal Power.

A former dotcom entrepreneur, who cofounded Seattle based online advertising firm BidClix, Inc., Mr. Punch successfully exited the Internet industry in June 2007, after BidClix merged with Accipiter Solutions in August 2006.  Just four months after the merger, Accipiter was acquired by publicly traded aQuantive.  Six months later, Microsoft purchased aQuantive in an all cash deal.

Prior to his Internet career, Mr. Punch was employed in the investment industry, including a period with TD Asset Management.  Between the period of 1998 and 2000, he successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. Mr. Punch holds a BA from the University of British Columbia with a focus on Economics and Political Science.


Sky Energy has assembled a well-seasoned team of advisors with development experience across solar, geothermal, wind and the traditional energy sectors.  The team's knowledge spans legal structuring & tax efficiency, equity & debt financing, as well as the technical aspects  that are specific to each type of technology deployed.

Bruce Fair
Mr. Fair brings significant experience in investment finance, product syndication, business development and distribution of financial products and services. Mr. Fair has been responsible for raising approximately $300 million (CDN) for investments in the technology, energy and natural resource sectors. In the past twelve months, Mr. Fair successfully raised over $40 million (CDN) for three energy sector funds.

David Kelly 
Mr. Kelly, founder and President of Sedmek Inc., and CEO of SkyFire Energy Inc. has worked in the solar industry since 2001. He has been a guest lecturer at Mount Royal College’s Sustainable Design program and the University of Calgary’s Renewable Energy programs. His credentials include an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, professional accreditation through APEGGA, CANSIA member and solar thermal installation instructor. David has also completed two terms on the CANSIA Board. 

Norman Morcos 
Mr. Morcos was a co-founder of Gale Force Energy (GFE), a leading national renewable energy company with projects in development across Canada. In 2008, GFE was acquired by Airtricity, an Irish utility with an international portfolio. Mr. Morcos became the VP, Business & Strategy for Airtricity Canada until retiring from the industry a year after the acquisition. Prior to GFE, Mr. Morcos designed, managed and implemented media and public relations strategies for the legal and financial sectors.
